Stunning music! The Ticonderoga, Hooves, Teeth--really special stuff. I'm not old enough to make your Philly show. Guess I'll just save the date and send good vibes your way. Would love to see you!

Bowerbirds responded on 12/20/2011

Aw, man. We hate hearing people are too young for our shows. Wish we could always play all ages shows. Philly is the hardest city for us to play/ get a show in. The church is either too big or too small for us, depending on which level we'd be playing in.

The Sasquatch festival would be a perfect fit for you guys. It would be awesome if you got on the bill this year or sometime soon

Bowerbirds responded on 12/20/2011
A

Really wish we could. We were too late with our album release to play it this year. Maybe next year!

I'm going to be sailing around the world in a few years once my lady has finished nursing school. Where would you like me to make a stop on this sailing adventure?

Bowerbirds responded on 12/13/2011
A

Galway, Ireland, or anywhere along the Algarve coast of Portugal. Those are the best watery places we've been.

But a sailing trip around the world sounds amazing.

Do you think that music (or art in general) is more powerful to the audience as its being received and interpreted, or to the artist as its being created and performed? Please come back to Colorado!

Bowerbirds responded on 12/13/2011
A

I think it's probably the most powerful as it's being received by the artist, from the universe. Then it's just a matter of trying to share it so that other people can get something out of it too.

That's a really good question. I think probably most artists are very emotional people.
